A BLACK FEATURE

A Black Feature, or better known as "Bigelow," was born on the Bob Jordan Ranch in western Nebraska 1997. Charmayne James purchased him in 1999. She ran barrel on him and stood him at stallion. During that time, he sired 23 foals out of mares such as Streakin Six Babe, daughters of Black Dash (Charmayne's other stallion), and a daughter of Sticks An Stones.

In 2014, A Black Feature was purchased by Craig Norgard and returned to the Nebraska Sandhills. Unfortunately, he only sired one foal before suffering from an injury. He passed in 2016

Jack is his last foal and the only son standing at stud.

Progeny earnings* -- $10,678.62

*According to Equistat as of 5/13/25. Jack's earnings are not on the report, so report is not entirely accurate.

The Ole Man

SI - 10   33-8-4-7 $21,156

By THREE BARS and out of the 1952 AQHA Champion 2-year-old filly Chicado V. Chicado V also produced 5 top AAA runners. He was the last known surviving son of Three Bars

Sire of 18 AQHA Champions and Race PE over $1 million. He sired over 220 race ROM earners.

His foals were incredibly versatile. He sired many performance horses (heading, heeling, barrel racing, etc). Some even competed in western pleasure. His performance offspring earned 4,555 AQHA points.

The Ole Man also proved to be a successful and sought after broodmare sire of barrel horses despite never being advertised as a barrel sire. In 2001, he ranked #35 on Equistat's list of maternal grandsires, and those maternal grandget had a combined earning of over $125K.

The Ole Man was well known for passing along speed and a very gentle disposition. That disposition was in turn passed along to his grand sons and daughters. It was said that if you had at least one foal by The Ole Man in a pen full of wild and watchy foals, The Ole Man foal would meet you at the gate and the other foals would follow, eventually gentling down. We've seen this same disposition in Jack's foals.
