Like the fit of our short cheek headstalls, but want something a little flashier? Look no further.
This headstall fits exactly like our short cheek headstalls (7" cheeks). The bit end can be turned out to expose more of the pattern, or turned in for a more subtle look. We keep several patterns in stock and are always looking for more. You can decide to add edge paint to the whole headstall (like in the reference photo), only edge paint the inner edge of the twist (bottom of the V), or not to edge paint at all.
Can opt to swap for bit ties instead of conchos, just make a note of it when selecting hardware.
Reference photo is of the walnut leather, with the #4 pattern, the #2 silver zinc buckles and #2 zinc conchos, and turquoise all over edge paint.
Please write out what patterned or underside leather you would like. That would be the pattern pieces and the chap leather (could also pick a dye color, just make sure to note that you want dye, otherwise chap will be assumed).
Important note about hardware: all stainless steel conchos are 1", so they will extend over the edge of the headstall very slightly (1/8" on either side). Zinc conchos 3, 6, 9, and 10 are also only available in 1". If you don't want the concho extending past the edges of the bridle, select zinc conchos 1, 2, 4, 7, or 8. Zinc concho #4 comes in a 3/4" and 1" version, but the 3/4" version will be used unless otherwise asked.
