Perfect for high purchase bits, gag bits, hackamores, and horses with small heads. Cheeks measure 7" from bit to buckle, which should ensure the buckle does not get too close to the horse's ear. Total length of headstall from bit to bit is 30"-40".  This is intended for bits that necessitate short cheeks and horses with small heads that don't typically fit standard headstalls. Because of this, it may not fit a horse with a large head riding in a short purchase bit. If you're unsure, measure.
